PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Ian Harper

One of Southsea Skatepark’s local legends back in the 90s was Ian Harper, who regularly skated the 11 foot high ramp with ease. Back in the late 80s and early 90s Ian was winning competitions, getting sponsorship and even starred in the first KFC hot wings advert (remember that?). These photos are from 1998, Ian moved from Southsea a couple of years later for warmer climates but no doubt still skates really well. We just wanted to give a nod to one of the skatepark’s many legendary skaters.
