Hailing from Bristol’s St Paul’s area, Derek has spent most of his adult life soaked in the culture of the West Indian immigrants that arrived in England in the late 50’s/early 60’s. Derek can be found in one of three places; in a Wetherspoon’s pub (he’s been to every one in the country), on a bus (he’s travelled every National Express route in the country) or blasting out some killer tunes at one of his many gigs around the UK. This short documentary was shot by Jamie Foord & Russell Smith.
