Some interesting news from my PCC mole today. Groundlings Theatre Company has recently won the bid to buy The Old Beneficial School in Portsea. This stunning historic grade II star listed building will be brought back to life providing a wonderful focal point for the area.

Opening with West Side Story and boasting it’s own Drama School, TV Studio with green screen, office space for hire, 10 costumes in their wardrobe department and of course it’s very own theatre with original Georigian decor.

This is a brand new venture with a proposed opening date of April 2010. The theatre will seat 180 in Proscenium arch format and for dinner theatre we expect to seat 120 guests.
