Shorts::Cut Short Film Festival 2010

Shorts::Cut organises screenings in Portsmouth and Southsea of short films by regional filmmakers, this year, in partnership with The University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth City Council and The Kings Theatre, Southsea. This year, the first screening will be held at the famous King’s Theatre Southsea on August 15 at 7pm, tickets are £3 advance, £4 on the door. The Second screening will be held in the Menuhin Hall at the Third Floor Arts at Central Library in Guildhall Square on August 15 at 7pm, tickets are £2 on the door.

Selected films can also be shown as part of subsequent events in the lead up the the announcement of the News Guide awards. Short films made in Portsmouth and the surrounding area could also win the award for Best Local film at The Guide Award 2010, organised by The News. Last year’s winner was “Less Than Romantic”.
