Helen Buteux is doing a solo, unsupported cycle 868km from Bangkok to Phuket on the 21st April, and taking hopefully just 8 days. Wow. All monies raised go direct to the charities SSAFA and Project 65 and she has paid for the trip herself to help maximise donations. Helen is folding a fundraiser at Shenanigans on Osborne Road on the 17th April. Sunday Shenanigans Session is an afternoon/evening with acoustic and Irish bands playing, food etc and everyone is of course welcome.

Helen is also currently training on a Specialised Crosstrail, but needs to get a good racing bike for the actual trip and the last 3 weeks of training. If anyone has one (small frame) they might be able to lend Helen for 4-5 weeks (must be able to take panniers) or do a swap for a tiptop crosstrail bike the she would LOVE to hear from you.
