Punk by the Sea Proudly announces that English punk rock legends “The Damned” will perform in Portsmouth, for the first time since 2009, however it has been over 20 years since they have played at Portsmouth where they have been the main headline, when they take the stage at the South Parade Pier for the biggest, established punk festival in Portsmouth known as “Punk By The Sea”.

The Damned are famously well known for creating UK punk rock history in 1976 alongside The Clash and Sex Pistols, they were also the first UK group to release a ‘punk rock’ single, which happened to be ‘New Rose’, and they were the first UK punk act to tour the US. The Damned are now currently on the 35th Anniversary tour, The Damned’s live show is still full of energy.

The current line up features original members Dave Vanian on vocals, and Captain Sensible on guitar. Along with Stu (Bass), Pinch (Drums) and Monty (Keyboards). And Promises to be an amazing live show, where The Damned will take the stage at “Punk By The Sea”.
