PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Bill Aitchison at Pie & Vinyl

Pie and Vinyl are pleased to welcome local performance artist Bill Aitchison to the store on the 29th September as part of his nationwide tour.

Bill will be presenting his most recent show – ’Vinyl’. His work has entertained and confounded the expectations of audiences across Europe, Asia, America and The Middle East. Known for his work’s unpredictability and wry humour, he has been predicting the apocalypse, dancing Agadoo, performing in Chinese and now, with Vinyl, sharing his highly questionable record collection.

In the Vinyl playlist you can expect anything from the self styled ‘worst orchestra in the world’, The Portsmouth Sinfonia to the apocalyptic metal anthem The Final Countdown. Bill is no normal DJ and his stories are as diverse, idiosyncratic and pointed as the music he plays. Growing up in Southsea, becoming a student, traveller, misfit, entertainer and all along the way picking up records is covered in this 90 minute show

This promises to be an entertaining and thought provoking evening, so please come down. The show will start at 7.30pm.
