Room 237 is Southsea’s premiere graphic novel, book, comics and pop culture boutique. Located in the heart of Southsea on Elm Grove, The Shining themed store is more than just a comic shop! As well as stocking the largest range of American comics and graphic novels in Portsmouth, they also specialise in books on cult film, TV, art, design and illustration. You’ll even find books on tattoos and skateboarding!

If it’s posters, statues, t-shirts or anything comic related you’re looking for then Room 237 is the place for you and, if they don’t have what you’re looking for in stock, they can order it, super quick.

The shop stocks favourites such as Batman, Walking Dead, Fables, Avengers, Lock & Key, Hellboy, as well as Marvel, Image, IDW, Vertigo and DC to name but a few. You can also purchase copies of No Place Like Home written by co-owner Angelo Tirotto.

But there’s more… Located in the store’s large basement you’ll discover The Gold Room, Portsmouth’s only free, non-profit, independent art gallery. With a strong emphasis on supporting local talent, The Gold Room will also curate shows featuring work from both national and international artists and creatives.
