Unique ‘Make Your Mark’ half term workshops give anyone from the age of 10 the chance to work with graffiti artist Fark to transform theatre dressing rooms
On Tuesday 19th February and Wednesday 20th February between 10am – 5pm, the New Theatre Royal is inviting anyone ages 10 and up including families and adults alike to come and graffiti the Portakabin dressing rooms inside and out to turn them into a fantastic piece of art.
Working with graffiti artists Fark and Lilou whose work can be seen around Portsmouth, Fratton and Southsea, everyone will don provided protective masks and gloves to graffiti the dressing rooms as part of the theatre’s Make Your Mark campaign that encourages the community to make their mark on the New Theatre Royal’s rich heritage history.
The workshops will take place across 2 days; with those aged 10-15 able to take part in 3-hour sessions each day (10am – 1pm or 2pm – 5pm) and those over 16 take part in the full day (10am – 5pm). Everyone is encouraged to wear old clothing that they don’t mind getting dirty!
