Southsea Sunday Busk on the 15th December

Southsea Sunday Busk on the 15th December

Southsea Sunday is a one day busking event on the 15th of December organised by a group of local organisations, businesses and individuals. The idea originated from a workshop presented by Dan Thomson as part of the recent Portsmouth Entrepreneurs Week series of events. Dan has been described by Time Out as one of the most influential people in Britain and has worked on a wide variety of community engagement projects…he also used to DJ at Chaos way back when too.

The aim of Southsea Sunday Busk is to help facilitate a desire for performers and audiences to enjoy public & private space through music & performance on December 15th and making sure the event is fun and trouble free. The spaces where performers will be busking form a short Southsea trail and are:

– Outside Subway at Palmerston/Osborne Road
– Outside The Kings Theatre in Albert Road
– The Wine Vaults
– Little Johnny Russells
– Southsea Coffee Co.

The plan is to start at 11.00am until 5pm.

Southsea Sunday Busk are now looking for singers, performers, poets, etc. who would like to be involved, if you would like to find out more and get involved please get in touch on Twitter (@sundaysouthsea) or at their Facebook page:
