Strong Island Sounds Podcast with Longlive Radio Episode 14

It is Friday lunchtime and Charlie is back with a new Strong Island Sounds podcast episode with Longlive Radio episode 14:

This week’s show has a selection of songs from the genre known as Baroque Pop, made popular in the mid to late 60s, this is simply a cool blend of pop music with elements of classical music. You’ll know it from the string quartet on The Beatles ‘Yesterday’ to Rufus Wainwright and Regina Spektor’s modern day updates. I’ve chosen a handful of tunes I reckon use it well. There are also tunes from Supergrass, James Brown, Frank Zappa and Cannibal Ox. This weeks cut from Sam’s Selection Box is an Icelandic gem that ties in nicely with the Pet Sounds Playlist that Wit & the guys from 101 Reykjavik delivered last week.

Hope you enjoy, and if you do, please take a second to share it around and help spread the word.
