Last week saw Strong Island favourite Laurel release ‘Memorials’ on her SoundCloud account. Memorials is the first track to be taken from her upcoming EP ‘Holy Water’ which comes out on December 16th.

Written by Laurel, she describes that the track is about a love that you cannot forget but at some point have to let go of. ‘He don’t believe me, and my young soul is sold to his heart’. The girl has a talent for writing honest and heartfelt songs which show her to be much more than the most pop stars.

Anyone who has been listening to Radio 1 over the last few weeks will have heard Laurel’s track ‘Shells’ getting plenty of air play by the stations leading DJ’s Huw Stephens and Fearne Cotton.
