We’re always being asked about studio and creative working spaces in the city so it is great to hear about available spaces at Makers’ Merchant (was Make & Craft Kitchen) in Fratton. This creative working space, store and cafe have a few different options available to cater for people looking for the following:
– Desk/Studio spaces are available on their mezzanine floor that overlooks the main space, prices start from only £20 per week and perfect for people starting out working on their own creative business needing their own studio/desk.
– Offering selling spots from single shelves up to own display areas for concessions for local makers, designers, etc. Shelves begin at an introductory price of only £6-£10 per shelf and for the larger floor spaces for your own concession displays it starts at only £30 per square metre.
– Wall space is available for displaying and selling art, with a commission of 20% per sale.
Maker’s Merchant are also offering creatives their workshop area so they can run their own creative learning activities, table hire (seats 8) is only £10 per hour and the party room is only £20 per hour. For all of these options certain terms & conditions apply.
