Next week sees Pint of Science happening from the 23rd to the 25th of May, a fun pub-based science festival with contemporary science subjects talked about in local pubs in Southsea. Pint of Science has been part organised by the University of Portsmouth, and is part of the national and international PoS festival. The talks all take place in The Loft at The Kings plus The Fat Fox, both on Albert Road and The Barley Mow on Castle Road. The talks are as follows:
Monday 23rd
- 7pm to 10pm, The Loft – Charting the Cosmos
- 7pm to 9:30pm, The Fat Fox – All Creatures Great and Small
- 7pm to 10pm, The Barley Mow – Progress in Cancer Research
Tuesday 24th
- 7pm to 10pm, The Loft – An Evening of Galaxies
- 7pm to 9:30pm, The Fat Fox – Evolution in the Pub
- 7pm to 10pm, The Barley Mow – Facing the Extremes
Wednesday 25th
- 7pm to 10pm, The Loft – Particles at the Pub
- 7pm to 9:30pm, The Fat Fox – Contamination
- 7pm to 10pm, The Barley Mow – Inside Our Brain
All events have two different speakers with talks relating to the subject, all events are only £4 and must be booked online (click on the links for each event).
