Shut Up & Skate Returns to Southsea Skatepark

Shut Up & Skate was a legendary series of skate competitions in the late 80s and early 90s at Southsea Skatepark, where at the time the vert ramp was a regular stop for the best vert skaters not just in the UK but in the World. The current vert ramp at Southsea Skatepark is currently being demolished…but in the next week or so expect to see the arrival of a 40 foot wide vert ramp that will be an almost permanent fixture AND now make Southsea Skatepark a new stop on the UK Independent Vert Series. So, Sunday 31st July sees the return of Shut Up & Skate, with the skatepark hosting its first vert comp in many years and with this being the second stop on the national series, expect to see the country’s best vert skaters skateboarding in Southsea.

On the day there will be three competitions, A, B & Masters and everyone will also be welcome to have a go on the ramp and get involved. The new Kiosk on the Common cafe at the skatepark will also be providing some awesome food on the day.

The ramp will be coming to Southsea after this weekend’s NASS comp over int he west country, check last year’s NASS video below to see the ramp in action.
