PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Umami Street Food

You may have noticed that the South Coast Emporium and The One Eyed Dog have new neighbours in Umami Street Food.

They offer a mouth-watering menu including handcrafted burgers, wraps, Piri Piri chicken and a range of sauces, many of which are made by chefs from scratch. They are so proud of their burger recipe that they’ve just given away 1,000 for free to show them off. They state that their mission is to offer simple food done properly while catering their food to your personal specifications by allowing you to personalise your meal with their range of sauces and toppings.

Umami have another great offer which may be of interest to your readers, especially over the current half term. At Umami, kids eat free when dining in with an adult who spends £8.99 in store, they can choose from a dedicated menu which includes a choice of freshly grilled chicken strips or wings, plus fries and a bottomless drink. No voucher required, just pop into the restaurant.

The feedback I’ve been hearing is all positive and that it’s a welcome addition to the Southsea food scene. We’ll be paying them a visit asap so keep your eyes out for a full feature which will follow soon.
