On Friday 4^th November 7-9pm, the eagerly anticipated Lefty Sketch Designs: RE:BOT Exhibition opens at The Kings Ship Gallery on Marmion Road in Southsea.

The exhibition is running 4^th-26^th November and is the first solo exhibition of Lefty Sketch Designs, AKA San Shulman’s work. This is a marvellous opportunity to see the work of this wonderful local artist in the flesh and potentially buy some of these fantastic pieces at very humble price tags.

We wholeheartedly urge you to attend the opening, with goody bags for the first nine people to arrive (I’ll be queueing in advance thanks, Sam) and an additional raffle to win art too.

For those of you who don’t know Sam’s work, it’s full of colour, endearing characters and makes use of found and recycled items. Almost anything can serve as a surface, a repurposing of items otherwise left to waste.

For those of you who are already fans, there will be some familiar characters to find but also a lot of work that has been kept secret until the show, so it’s still well worth coming down, even if just to enjoy all of his creations, but especially if you come away with some goodies.

Sam loves to create and inspire others to do the same and he’s pleased with his progress. As per the September issue of the Kings Ship News, Sam says “My success has already happened which is someone liking my work enough to show it – anything else after that is a bonus”.

Well Sam, we’re sure that such an excellent attitude and standard of work deserves all the bonuses you can get. We’ll see you there.
