STRONG ISLAND RECORDINGS AT BLISSFIELDS
Our Strong Island Recordings label that releases all things great in the leftfield spectrum from local to international acts turns the ripe age of five this year. With lots of releases and shows planned it’s certainly a busy time for our little label and we’re more than delighted to announce that we are official partners with the magical, Blissfields festival for the first time.
The wonderful folk at Blissfields very recently asked us to handpick a couple of acts to play Blissfields under the SIR banner and so we chose new favourites, dream/psych outfit Drug Store Romeos and fuzzy pop trio Dancehall. On top of those two, our own krautrock/psych outfit Melt Dunes are playing in the fantastic Hidden Hedge.
As you all may know Strong Island Recordings run stages yearly at The Great Escape as well as Southsea Fest and also at the upcoming Portsmouth Psych Fest plus we’ve been heavily involved with the booking of Dials Festival but this will be the first time the label has had any involvement at an outdoor festival so we can’t wait!
