WE WERE TREATED TO A WEEKEND IN FEBRUARY THAT WAS LIKE A SUMMER’S DAY
Planning in photoshoots can always be tricky, and outdoor shoots even more so. There are lot’s of factors that all need to align, and one of the most important is the weather. Not just for a dry day, but for good light. On a single date that meant everyone was available at the same time we were stoked to wake up to quite possibly the nicest day of the year so far…
Albeit a little on the chilly side the sun stayed with us all day as we walked from location to location using Southsea Castle as our central base. Everyone certainly put the work in after meeting at 10am at Strong Island Clothing Co on Highland Road, till 6pm when we all popped for a beer to wrap the shoot up.

…keen to explore new angles in this well known location to give a new perceptive…
We were keen to try something a little different with our first shoot of the year. A snapshot of our current range that is a simple refresh to launch us in to Spring, but using younger models to complement the style of fashion photographer and good friend Max Hethrington.
Max was keen to explore new angles in this well known location to give a new perceptive to an area that has been photographed countless times. The result of working with Max, Ludu and Steph was something we are really stoked on. A fresh, new approach that we hope to continue with our smaller capsule shoots.
The latest Strong Island Clothing Co range is now available in store now and online very soon. If you’re in the area take a visit to ‘Shop Ahoy’ in Southsea and check out all the new products for yourself.
Huge thanks to Max, Ludo and Steph for making the day really good fun, and a shout out to the Deliveroo rider for finding us and bring us much needed pizza. Cheers mate.
You can check out more of Max’s work over at maximilianhetherington.com
There will also be a follow up with some further content from student film maker Julian Charles, who was equally as awesome on the day and we can’t wait to see what he pulls together from his footage of the day.
