Syrette is the brainchild of Portsmouth based electronic musicians Elliott Cronin (AKA Taro Division) and Aaron Udy. The duo run a techno music label together and in the year since its inception it has gone from strength to strength, releasing music from a host of European and South American talent to an ever expanding audience.
This the result of that experience and their combining of influences, knowledge and musical approach. Syrette’s music is a unique take on industrial and rave themed techno, executed with an inherent funk. Gross metallic and concrete sounds combine to create dance based grooves with experimentalism is at the fore when creating the initial sounds and using effects.
Monday 3rd April sees the first full Syrette track “Kamigata” available for streaming and download and will be distributed for free or on a pay what you like basis through the Taro Records Bandcamp page. Following on from that will be a full EP released through their label, featuring remixes from France’s Animal Holocaust and Italy’s shadowcomplex. This will celebrate the label’s 20th release on Thursday 1st June and will be available through iTunes, Beatport, Juno Download, Spotify and many more digital outlets.
Syrette will be performing DJ sets after the launch, combining their own material with that of the label and music from further afield. Keep on eye on their social media for dates as they get announced.
