News | Victorious Festival Line Up Announcement

Summer and Victorious Festival seems like an eternity ago but the team behind the event have barely had any time to sit back and enjoy their achievement. They have been busy organising next summer’s event. We can happily reveal that the new three-day format will be returning and the first wave of acts announced to perform on Friday are The Libertines, Kaiser Chiefs, Shed Seven and The Lightning Seeds.

It’s twenty years since The Libertines first took the British music scene by storm and they are still regarded as one of the most talented bands around. Their back catalogue contains so many anthems which were synonymous with the late 90’s and early 2000’s. There are also rumours of the band working on new material.

Leeds finest, the Kaiser Chiefs, are renowned for their energetic live sets and an amazing rapport with the audiences. Their Friday night set is sure to get the enthusiastic Portsmouth crowd rocking.

Shed Seven are key figures in the Britpop scene and with their fifth studio album receiving rave reviews fans will be able to immerse themselves in brand new tracks as well as rolling back the years with the Shed’s legacy of hits.

Ian Broudie’s Lightning Seeds are another classic Britpop act guaranteed to delight revellers young and old. With hits too numerous to mention The Lightning Seeds will be fondly remembered by football fans as being involved in the famous ‘Three Lions‘ single saw the England football team off to Euro 96. The song is almost as memorable than the football itself.

Festival Director Andy Marsh said “Our Friday night opening party was such a hit last year it made sense to do it again but make it even better. We’ve gone for a solid line – up of absolute indie legends, it’s going to be a brilliant night and with tickets from just £25 you’d be mad to miss it. We’re going to announce the full weekend bill very shortly – and it’s going to be spectacular – but we couldn’t wait to reveal Friday, it’s going to be some party!”

Friday tickets available from £25 while Saturday and Sunday tickets are available at £30 a day. It seems only sensible to pick them up while they’re at such a low price.
