In the build-up to this summer’s forthcoming Fitness Festival, Luke Newton and his team at SWEAT Southsea are opening their doors for a morning of free activity in partnership with some of their Festival collaborators. The Festival which takes places on Saturday 3rd June is free to attend and aims to celebrate and inspire active and healthy lifestyles.
From 8:30 am until midday on Saturday 31st March, you will be able to meet the SWEAT team and take part in a range of free activities and gain access to specialist services. These include the opportunity for a free personal training consultation, as well as a free injury clinic triage where you can have your injuries and niggles assessed and diagnosed.
I personally wouldn’t turn down the chance of a free sports massage! There will also be free classes which are being run that morning – Just turn up and sign up on a first come, first serve basis. Something of interest to the runners among us will be a Pilates class which has been specially designed for runners. Whether you run for fun or compete at long distances, the aim of the class is to improve core strength and help you stay injury free.
