Isle of Wight Festival’s Charity Initiative

After the success of the last few years, the Isle of Wight Festival has announced the details of its local charity initiative. Local charities based on the island are invited to apply for tickets to this year’s festival to use in their fundraising activities in the hope that this will help to raise awareness and the profile of these good causes.

To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is take the time to explain what your charity is and what you’d do with the pair of Festival tickets to raise awareness and funds for your cause. 20 pairs of tickets are available and organisations have until Tuesday 1st May to apply.

This local initiative continues the great work the Isle of Wight Festival has done with island charities and good causes over the years, including supporting the Earl Mountbatten Hospice, St Catherine’s School, Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Pink on Wight Breast Cancer, amongst many others.

With headliners including Kasabian, Depeche Mode, Liam Gallagher and The Killers, plus hundreds of other exciting performances lined up, this year’s festival is not one to be missed and a pair of tickets could make a fantastic prize to raise funds for your charity.

Festival Owner, John Giddings, says: “We try to give as much as possible back to the island and bring the community closer to the Festival each year. We hope this will continue the great success we’ve had working with charities and good causes and I look forward to hearing about their fundraiser’s endeavours.”
