Warner Edwards Gin Tasting Event at Lou Lou’s Brasserie

Hold on to your copa glasses, gin drinkers! Brassiere Lou Lou’s is putting on a night for you! On 27th September you can enjoy a tasting evening with Warner Edwards.

The night involves trying five of the six different Warner Edwards gins, complete with a talk on the Warner Edwards story and how the gins are made. Their gins range from a dry to more creative flavours like Honeybee gin, a gin that contains 28 botanicals, including local honey. Described as ‘a floral and zesty gin with a long, lingering and a gently sweet finish’. The deal is sweetened further with the fact that it was released in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society with proceeds from sales going to help their work in sustainability and free wildflower seeds with each bottle to plant be friendly botanicals.

Just to give you a bit of background, Warner Edwards is the creation of distillers whose passion for farming brought a natural resource for fantastic botanicals. For example, the rhubarb used to make their famous Victoria’s Rhubarb Gin. The strain they use is descended from Queen Victoria’s garden. They distil in a 200 year old barn in Harrington, Northamptonshire. One of their strengths is their authenticity. As they state on their website, they “lovingly distil a range of small batch, fantastically smooth, award-winning gins using [their] farms natural spring water, grain spirit and home-grown ingredients. Each batch is small, and every single bottle is handcrafted by us from the filling to the wax seal and label finishing.

They’ve got experience behind them too. With the first bottle being sold in 2012, they’ve got a good few years of distilling experience under their belts.

This is a ticket only event. Tickets are £25 and includes the tasting and talk. Food is available on request. Check out the Facebook event for more information facebook.com/events/gintastingevent.
