Portsmouth Friends of the Earth ‘Streets for People’ Public Meeting

Portsmouth Friends of the Earth will be holding a public meeting, ‘Streets for People’, on Monday, 15th October from 7.30pm at The Discovery Centre, St John’s Cathedral, Bishop Crispian Way, PO1 3HQ. The meeting aims to explore ways of making Portsmouth and Southsea’s streets vibrant, safe, and healthy places for local communities, businesses, residents and visitors to enjoy.

Megan Streb from Sustrans Partnership will give a short talk describing how communities around the world are connecting people and places, creating neighbourhoods and streets where people want to live, walk, cycle, play, chat or sit. There’ll be plenty of time for questions and they’ll collect local residents’ views and ideas for making Portsmouth’s streets safe, healthy and pleasant to pass on to the Portsmouth City Council.

You can find out more at the Facebook Event and HERE on the Portsmouth Friends of the Earth website.
