News: Portsmouth Psych Fest 2019

May 4th (also Star Wars day so you know it’s going to be cosmic) sees the return of Portsmouth’s annual celebration of celestial sounds being Portsmouth Psych Fest taking place at The Wedgewood Rooms and The Edge of The Wedge.

Headlined by the mighty Yak fresh from the release of incredible third album Pursuit of Momentary Happiness Portsmouth Psych Fest also hosts a collection of some of the finest acts around supporting. 

From the super-fun krautrock-synth, feral-forest people of Snapped Ankles, psychedelic-drone lords The KVB, Australian psychedelic-pop meets glam-rock juggernauts Nice Biscuit, cumbia meets surf-rock quintet Los Bitchos who are one of the most fun live bands in existence, Bristol’s Scalping who make mind-bending krautrock and are one of the bands to watch in 2019, skittish post-punk outfit Black Country New Road, garage-rock shredders Sleep Eaters, Fat Earthers and Sweaty Palms, the incredible Southampton shoegazers meets indie outfit Mystic Peach, Portsmouth psychedelic outfit Number 9 who sound like The Beatles meets Brian Jonestown Massacre and loads more, Portsmouth Psych Fest have one of the most stellar line-ups you’ll see on the south-coast this year and it’s all for just £17 in advance.
