Road To Blissfields 2013 Preview #5 Jerry Williams

Last but definitely not least I’d like to introduce you to Jerry Williams. Local girl Jerry is only seventeen years old but has been playing guitar, singing and writing songs since she was twelve. Her voice is instantly captivating and her lyrics show that she is clearly mature beyond her years.

In a conversation with Jerry she told me that if she had to pick three songs that meant the most to her at the moment they would be Jake Bugg ‘Lightning Bolt’, The Cure ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ and Ben Howard ‘Only Love’. She also admitted that Busted were the first band she ever saw live but who am I to judge, my first live music show was Eternal at the Guildhall. Don’t judge me, I was only about thirteen at the time.

You can follow Jerry on Facebook, Twitter and SoundCloud.

So there are the five acts that will be performing at Road To Blissfields tonight at the Wedgewood Rooms. It’s going to be a great evening with five incredibly diverse acts all competing for a chance to play at Blissfields this July. The event is FREE but you can find out more information HERE.

Strong Island would love to hear from those of you who are going and what you thought of the bands. You can share your opinions on here or via Facebook and Twitter.
