Strong Island Sounds Takeover: Me and the Moon

It gives us all great pleasure to announce that the Strong Island Sounds podcast is back. We aim to build on the fantastic work done by Charlie Waddington when he launched the episode one back in the summer of 2013. Generally, you will find me sharing some of my favourite tunes spanning various different genres of music, along with a bunch of special takeover episodes from friends of Strong Island.

In this episode we hand over the reins to Tamara, Jonny and Alex from Me and the Moon. “Thank you to Strong Island for inviting us down to take over their podcast! We have put together some songs we’re all loving at the moment and that we think you guys should be hearing, including some tracks from our Monthly Mix playlist which you can find on our Spotify.

“We recorded this in our basement where we rehearse and write all our new material. We wanted to pick songs that give an insight into us individually and our influences as a band. We just released a new single and are off on tour starting Weds 21st Feb in Portsmouth, so have also picked out a few of the bands we’re playing alongside on the tour dates, as well as some new releases and fresh finds.”

Tracklist:
Me and The Moon ‘Its Alright’
Hey Rosetta ‘Young Glass’
Matthew and The Altas ‘Old Master
Bombay Bicycle Club ‘Shuffle’
Me and The Moon ‘Standing Still’
Flyte ‘Sliding Doors’
Ten Tonnes ‘Born to Lose’
